For your peace of mind, every item that finds its way into one of SEKINE’s luxury vintage stores in Tokyo is carefully examined with a rigorous authentication process. We have three convenient locations, with a flagship store in Ikebukuro, another in the tourist hub of Shinjuku, as well as a smaller outlet in the popular district of Shibuya.

Our masterful appraisers operate in-house to verify whether a piece is genuine or not, checking everything from the nature of the materials to barely visible hallmarks.

Where Heritage Meets Sustainability
SEKINE has been known as one of the most renowned vintage shops in Tokyo since 1942 when Mr. Shimaji Sekine opened a pawnshop in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.
With a deep respect for the precious nature of his customers’ most treasured items, he earned an enduring reputation for quality, commitment, and customer care, opening several new branches in central Tokyo and passing earned wisdom down through the generations.
Now managed by his grandsons, Mr. Kazuyuki Sekine and Mr. Shunji Sekine are two brothers who still uphold the core values of the original SEKINE philosophy; where second-hand finds a first-class home.

All of SEKINE’s luxury vintage stores in Tokyo are conveniently located by a major transportation hub.
The flagship Ikebukuro West Gate Store is located just a two-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, while our additional second-hand designer store can be found close to Shinjuku Station. We also have a pawnshop in Shibuya with some limited small leather goods for sale.
